Tom-OS privacy policy

Updated October 16, 2026.

Tom-OS is Tom Oster's private assistant. This policy covers its Google integration, managed by Tom Oster.

Data access and use

With account consent, Tom-OS can access account identity, Gmail messages and labels, calendar events, and Drive files, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides. It uses this data for email review, planning, summaries, and authorized email, calendar, and document changes.

Storage and sharing

Credentials are stored in the local Google client configuration. Task records and source data may be saved in Tom's private workspace and in the connected services used for a workflow.

Google data may be processed by AI services Tom selects, including OpenAI or Anthropic, to carry out those workflows. These services have their own data handling and retention controls. Tom-OS does not sell Google data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models.

Tom-OS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Control and deletion

Access can be revoked through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorized access; it does not delete records already saved. Local records remain until Tom removes them. Copies in connected services follow those services' deletion and retention controls.
